Camino de Santiago

Santiago de Compostela in northwestern Spain is believed to be the resting place of Saint James, an apostle of Jesus.

The pilgrimage to Santiago hit its peak in the Middle Ages, and lost its popularity in the 16th Century. Only a small number of pilgrims kept it alive until the recent years. What began as a religious trek has evolved into a journey for anyone (spiritual or secular) who just wants to be alone with their thoughts.

I decided to walk the Way because of a friend. He told me he was going through a difficult time in his life, and walking the Camino completely changed his life.

This book explores not only the history and the route of the Camino, but also my own personal struggles and questions.
